Back Porch Pining

One of my twelve homey goals for 2012 was to create an outdoor living room on our now-empty back porch. Since spring is approaching (right? right), Jesse and I want to get something in place soon.

I'm starting to do some window shopping now. We actually have four outdoor areas we need (maybe "need" is a relative term) to furnish this year... the aforementioned back porch, the outdoor dining area (a porch space off of our kitchen), the front porch, and the pool deck. Since the back deck is the best area for alfresco snoozing while keeping my paler-than-pale skin in the shade, we're going to start with that. Here are a few sets I'm dreaming of:

Crate & Barrel's Summerlin line.  Sturdy and comfy (I plopped down on the couch yesterday while in a Crate & Barrel store), colorful & classic...

Pottery Barn's Weatherby sofa.  I would nap so hard in this thing...

At $299 for the loveseat, World Market's Melbourne Collection is a little more reasonably priced than the two options above and still looks sturdy and comfy...

And finally, Martha Stewart's Lily Bay Collection.  With deep chairs and thick cushions, this is the most living room-y of all of my options (and pretty comfortable, to boot - we tried this out in the store last year)...

What do you think?   Are you using your old outdoor furniture this summer?  Are you like me, and daydreaming of a fancy new set?   Or are you looking forward to summer in the city with blankets on the Great Lawn and park benches?  Let me know and stay homey!
