CD Ornament

I saw an idea for this on Pinterest a while back and knew I had to try it - it looks like a little disco ball and best of all, it's a great way to repurpose old scratched CDs. Here's what you'll need:

two CDs
scissors
round glass ornament
hot glue
ribbon

Cut up the CD into small chunks and glue the shards, piece by piece, onto your ornament (note: maybe this project isn't so kid-friendly):

Cover the ornament in the pieces of CD until it's covered...

...and tie a ribbon through the top to hang:

Stay homey!

  4. What a very fun idea! I love the way it looks. When you get them all glued on, are there sharp edges from the CD?

  5. Hi Shiloh - because the pieces are so small and they're glued so close (and the ball is rounded), you'd have to work hard to hurt yourself on this!
