Best Chinese in Chicago

Can I just begin with saying how much I love Chinese food?  I'm pretty sure that besides my blonde hair and Minnesota accent (yes, I somehow have one even though I'm from Maine), this is why my husband married me.

It crosses my mind from time to time to make Chinese food at home, but then I realize that I don't really want to know how they make all of this taste so wonderful.  All I know is that it tastes UNBELIEVABLE and has zero calories.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I lived in Chicago for two years before realizing you had to go to Chinatown to get good Chinese.  Leave it to my father to tell us the obvious.  Anyway, the Tony Gourmet Group is the parent organization to five restaurants, three of them we eat at often:  Lao Sze Chuan, Lao Beijing, and Lao Shanghai.  All of them are absolutely fantastic so I thought I'd share a couple of our favorite dishes from there.  Today, we ordered from Lao Beijing.

This is the fried noodles with pork.  Ask for easy oil because they tend to have a heavy hand with this dish in particular.  You know if I'm saying that it's a lot of oil.

This is the General Tso's Chicken.

Ok so their dumplings, are like ridiculous.  We now order 2 servings otherwise Charlie and I say things to each other that we regret.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Let's not forget the Crispy Orange Beef in the front.  Nommy...nom nom...nom.  Stay hungry!
